15Blue has an Amazing Regional Tournament!

This past weekend the 15blue team record was 8-1. Losing an exciting and intense match in the semi finals to Dynamix. They didn't let this game get them down for long, defeating MPower to take third in their division. Ernie and Shari had a lot of good things to say: " we are so proud of our girls, we have been waiting for them to play to their full potential. They never got down, every girl stepped up at different times, it was absolutely a TEAM EFFORT and they need to be proud of themselves!" Congratulations 15Blue!

NorCal 17 Black Earns JO Bid!

Congratulations to NorCal 17 Black for winning the 17 club division at the PNQ this past weekend, earning a National bid to the Junior Olympics. Way to go 17's!

Congratulations to NorCal 15 Black for placing second at the Southern Cal Qualifier in the 15 club division. It seems were going to need a bigger trophy case at NorCal. :)

18 Black finished 5th out of 88 teams at the So. Cal Qualifier.

Great Showing for NorCal at the Cal Kickoff!

Besides being the best dressed teams at the Kickoff we had some teams that had great finishes. The 16 Black team finished 2nd in the 16's open division, 16 Blue finished 5th in the 16's club division, 17 Black finished 5th our of all the 17's teams in the 18 open, 15 Black finished 7th our of all the 15's teams in the 16 open, 13 Black finished 6th out of all the 13's teams in the 14 open, 13 Blue finished 8th out of all the 13's teams in 14 club, 14 Black finished 10th in the open division, 17 Black finished 14th in the 18's open division, 12 Black finished 14th in the 12's division and 14 Blue finished 15th in the 14's club division. Congratulations to everyone! Great way to start the season and we're all looking forward to more good finishes! Go NorCal!

What you need to do is, go to www.ncva.com and either click on the calendar date link or click on the power league or special tournaments links. This will direct you to a tournament page that will have venues & times. This information is usually updated the Wednesday before the tournament date. 13's and under Fall Clinics

NorCal is offering three 3 hour clinics this October at the Pleasanton facility. The clinics are for girls in the 13 and under age groups. The dates of the clinics are:

Saturday	10/20	3-6pm
Sunday	10/28	3-6pm

The clinics are $25/session. If a player did not play club volleyball last year and is not an NCVA member you would need to pay an additional $50 to NCVA to become an NCVA member. Please email Jeff Cole to determine if space is available. If space is available, please mail the completed NCVA waiver release form and a check payable to NorCal VBC to Jeff Cole at 40 Gold Creek Ct., Danville, CA 94506.

Every participant must complete and sign the 2 page USA/NCVA Individual Waiver/Release Form. The participant's parent or guardian must also sign it.

NorCal Juniors Spring League Starting in May
NorCal is offering a new exciting program available for girls ages 7-12. This will be a fun environment for players to learn important volleyball basics and techniques. The program consists of four Saturday clinics and two Saturday tournaments. Players will be taught by experienced NorCal coaches and staff throughout this rewarding and beneficial experience.

Important Dates:
December 10th, Sunday - Club Day - 2:00pm at the Hilton Garden Inn in Livermore. Located off of the Airway Blvd exit at 2801 Constitution Drive.
Parents please bring your club handbook and your calendars. Some important decisions will be discussed and made at your team meeting, such as: practice schedules, possible additional tournaments and team volunteer positions.
Shortkids production will also be giving a free recruiting video workshop after the team meetings from 3:30 - 4:30. They will answer many questions, so feel free to bring your camera/camcorder.
All Star Sports will also be at club day offering volleyball gear at our special club pricing. They will be arriving at 3:00.
December 13th, Wednesday - Rules Clinic - 7:00pm at the NorCal Pleasanton Facility. All players and coaches must attend this mandatory rules clinic. Parents are welcome too!

Free Rules Clinics: All teams can attend a rules clinic before playing in NCVA Girls League tournaments. It is the responsibility of ALL Junior Division club coaches to know and understand the current rules. All players, club directors, and parents are encouraged to do the same.

There will be four (4) free rules clinics:

Many complaints have been voiced regarding the tournament format, seeding, and venue conditions. Important Change

For many reasons the club has decided to change our hotel reservations in Spokane. We will be staying at the Mirabeau Park Hotel. NorCal has blocked off 50 parent rooms, please reserve a room asap.

She serves the ball

You pass it up

She forgets to move her tiny feet

and now she has to dive

The dive was unsuccessful

Your team is now ahead

The diving little number five’s

Face is now bright red

Your team loudly cheers you on

As you stand at the back line once again

You bounce the ball a couple times

And serve to number ten

She passes the ball right to the setter

And their setter sets a five

The opposite hitter hits the ball

Chalk Talk: At 5:45 for all NorCal members interested .

Game: 7:05 at McKeon Pavilion (wear your NorCal shirt for free entry).

This should be a great event and we are encouraging everyone (parents, players, and coaches) to come. SMC is expecting about 100 people from our club. It is the perfect time to get to know your team and to watch some great volleyball! Thank you to Rob, Sam, Sydney, Keegan, and Katie Davis for helping to put this together!

Based on the large number of talented atheletes who attended, NorCal intends to continue to grow next year with additional coaches and teams. If you have been selected for a team, registration night is Wednesday, November 9th, at the Pleasanton facility.
